It’s
always considered as good to know what to expect before signing for anything
throughout the world. Finally when you have decided to learn driving many
questions might be coming across your mind and also you must be feeling excited
about learning and taking control of steering in your hand.
Adult driving lessons are provided through driving schools in Manhattan which
typically offer two programs. Driving schools offer 10 days courses for an hour
a day and on the other hand, some driving schools are offering 15 days courses
having a period of half an hour a day. If you are the one signing up for ten
days, an hour-a-day course then your day-wise progress will have the following
elements within it.
Day
1
You
would be learning to drive in a customized car having pedals on the passenger
side as well. Your instructor will occupy the passenger seat so that he can
control the car using those pedals whenever needed. It’s important to know
what’s around and hence instructor will give you general knowledge about the
vehicle and how to start with such as accelerator, brake, clutch, steering,
gears, and indicators.
The instructor will also ask you to adjust the
side and rearview mirror firstly by yourself and if felt somewhat wrong he/she
will be doing it to teach you the right adjustment. On your first day, you are
going to learn how to use an accelerator, clutch, and break. Probably your
instructor would be changing up the gears for you on your first day.
Day
2
One
is going to repeat everything he/she learned on their first day with a few
additional important things too. On the second day, you would be asked to
control gear also. Hence now expect to start, move & stop many times during
the session. The more you have control over your controls the safer it would be
for you and others on the road.
Your
instructor might be taking you over rough and bumpy roads. You might get a
chance to reverse your vehicle for few times because you are made ready for
such situations by your instructor. The half-clutch technique will be repeated
again and again over multiple times.
Day
3
It
is a fact that “Practice makes a man perfect”, even for a man too. So you are going to practice what you have
learned in the past two days mostly.
DAY
4, 5 & 6
Cars
at driving schools might have speed control within them and hence it’s a bad
idea to wait till the 10th day to sit behind the wheel in your car. Hence one
should start practicing with the self-owned vehicle during the evening/night
under the supervision of some adult and holds a valid driving license.
Don’t
get hyper about anything while you are driving your car, stick to basics and
just learn to drive straight, take turns, stop-start-move only.
You
will have better control of the vehicle now. The speed limit of your car is
going to touch 40 KM/H now. If your instructor feels confident then he can
allow you to go slightly faster than 40. You will repeat all that you have
learned during the past few days.
Practicing
with your car will boost your confidence, so just do it if you can and have
proper facilities for that. Again, you are the best judge of your abilities and
know your feelings well. Hence make sure you hop in your car to drive only if
you feel confident about what you learned.
Day
7, 8 & 9
Still,
you are supposed to practice all the basic techniques for getting a perfect
driver. Now you can expect your instructor to take you in traffic, might be on
the highway as well if he is having enough confidence in you and your driving
skills. You can expect to accelerate up to 45KM/H but again that depends upon
how good you are driving that you turned yourself into within this period. More
reverse, driving through traffic where people and/or vehicles are around.
Conclusion
From
this, we concluded that how one can get perfect good at driving with the help
of a well-trained instructor. Taking a proper adult driver education course is
the most important step in the life of anyone who wishes to learn driving. Get
the course completed prominently and with a confident belief that you are going
to make it.
